The Pin That Started Everything: Why I Created Between Book Worlds

I didn’t wake up one day deciding to build a website. There was no big plan, no strategy, no timeline. It started with a single Pinterest save.

Just one pin, quiet, minimal, soft saved without much thought. The kind of image you save instinctively, without knowing why. A calm desk, muted colors, words that felt like a whisper instead of a shout. I didn’t comment on it. I didn’t share it. I just saved it and moved on.

But I kept coming back to it.

Sometimes inspiration doesn’t arrive loudly. Sometimes it sits with you. Waits. Gently asks to be noticed.

That pin felt like something I had been trying to express for a long time but didn’t yet have language for.

This post shares why I started a book blog focused on slow reading, comfort reads, and emotional connection with books. Between Book Worlds was created as a gentle space for readers who value intentional reading over productivity.

When Saving Turned Into Longing

I’ve always saved things on Pinterest, quotes, books, quiet moments, soft visuals. But over time, I noticed a pattern.

I wasn’t just saving images.

I was saving feelings.

Peace. Stillness. Slowness. Warmth. A life that felt intentional instead of rushed. A version of myself that felt safe inside her own world.

Somewhere between saving and revisiting, I realized something quietly unsettling:

I had all this beauty stored away, but nowhere to place my voice.

No space where my thoughts could live longer than a moment.

No place where my reflections could breathe.

I Didn’t Want Another Platform – I Wanted a Home

Social media moves fast. Too fast for the way I feel things.

My thoughts don’t arrive in captions. They arrive slowly, often late at night, often unfinished, often emotional. They change shape as I sit with them. They need room to soften before they make sense.

That’s when the idea of a website began to form, not as a brand, not as a project, but as a home.

A place where:

  • thoughts don’t have to perform
  • reading doesn’t have to be productive
  • feelings don’t need conclusions

A place inspired by a single saved image that made me feel understood without explaining anything.

Creating as an Act of Self-Listening

This website exists because I listened.

To the quiet pull.

To the repetition of saves.

To the feeling that said, there’s more here; let it exist.

I didn’t create this space because I had something important to say.

I created it because I needed somewhere to say things gently.

To write about books the way they linger instead of how they trend.

To write about healing without rushing it.

To document moments that don’t demand attention but deserve care.

A Soft Beginning, On Purpose

This website didn’t begin with clarity.

It began with curiosity.

And maybe that’s enough.

If you’re here reading this, maybe you’ve saved something too, an image, a quote, a feeling not knowing what to do with it yet.

This space is my answer to that feeling.

A reminder that sometimes, all it takes to begin is one pin that feels like home.
